Baby Steps

Just an update on the new house - I mean, the old house that is new to us...

We planted 2 Early Girl tomatos, 1 cherry tomato, and 1 pepper plant this year. So few? Well, it's pretty late - but we have a nice sunny southwest corner spot that was already cleared to just dirt. It's our first baby step towards gardening. If this works out, then next year will be bigger an better. :)

Hurray! So when we move up in august or september we can have salsa night at your house.

um, um, well, we have yet to see if we get any tomatos ... but of course we can always have parties at our house! maybe next year you can give us some tips for gardening so we can have a good selection.

Nice work, Julie! I, too, have taken baby steps and have eaten *2* tomatoes grown from my own vines. So far the squirrels have gotten my green peppers, but I have a little garden! In pots and in a wheelable box I built so I can shift my garden to match my elusive sun. I planted one white onion, too, so I'm hoping to have a little salsa out here. C'mon over, anyone, and join me! I'll put a picture in of my mini garden one of these days.

And I've taken up fishing. Not related to garedening except that I only catch moss. And rocks.
